About DeRon

DeRon was raised in Norfolk, Virginia. Virginia is home to some of the world’s greatest music acts. Names such as Chris Brown, Pharrell Williams (N.E.R.D), Trey Songs, Timbaland, Lex Luger, Missy Elliot and many more all have their musical roots in this southeastern state.

DeRon discovered his gift for music as little boy. He would find anything to beat on from the kitchen table to pots and pans. At age 13, he started rapping with friends from the neighborhood. Usually they would spend summer days and nights outside free-styling. DeRon usually free-styled the beat, using a combination of banging on the table and humming melodies, as they free-styled raps. In high school, his cousin introduced him to the drums. He caught on fast and it was on from there. By his senior year he had moved to the keyboard.

After a while, family and friends began paying attention to DeRon’s unique musical gift and suggested that he start selling his music. DeRon insisted that he wasn’t really looking to sell, but was happy just making music. After much persuasion, he finally started selling his music online and has been doing so ever since.
